Born from Compassion, Built on Community

Love in Action (LIA) was founded on November 19, 2021, in Nkambe, North West Cameroon, a place where compassion and community come together. We are a non-profit, non-political charitable association driven by a single purpose: to reach the most vulnerable and create lasting change.

On the 19th of November 2021, a small but determined group gathered in Nkambe, a town nestled in the Donga-Mantung Division of North West Cameroon. Among them were nurses, a secretary, a communicator, and a priest, each driven by the same conviction: that the most vulnerable members of their communities deserved far more than they were receiving.

From that gathering, Love in Action, LIA, was born. Not as a political movement, not as a profit-making enterprise, but as a purely charitable association rooted in faith, compassion, and a shared dream of a better tomorrow. Together, the founding members signed the Articles of Association, establishing a framework built on transparency, accountability, and community service.

On February 14, 2022, Love in Action received official acknowledgement of its declaration from the Senior Divisional Officer for Donga-Mantung Division, under Ref. N°. 004/E.27/750/SAAJP — formally recognising LIA as a legally registered charitable association under Law N°. 90/053 of 19/12/1990 on the Freedom of Association in the Republic of Cameroon.

Today, LIA operates from its headquarters at Guarantee New Market Entrance, Nkambe Center Sub-Division, and serves the entire national territory of Cameroon through seven active programs, each one a direct response to the needs of the most vulnerable: the elderly, the disabled, orphans, single mothers, children without school materials, communities at risk of disease, and those struck by humanitarian crises.

To reach out to the most vulnerable persons in Cameroon, caring for the elderly and physically impaired, empowering women, supporting orphans, promoting education, and delivering healthcare and humanitarian relief, creating lasting solutions that alleviate poverty and build stronger, healthier communities.

A Cameroon where every vulnerable person, regardless of age, ability, or circumstance, has access to healthcare, education, and opportunity. A nation where compassion drives community, and where every life touched by Love in Action reflects our motto: A Better Tomorrow.
