These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Love in Action (LIA) website at liacameroon.org and any transactions you make with us, including donations, volunteer applications, and membership registrations. By accessing this website or submitting any form, you agree to these terms.

1. About Love in Action

Love in Action (LIA) is a non-profit, non-political charitable association registered in the Republic of Cameroon under Law N°. 90/053 of 19/12/1990 on the Freedom of Association. Registration Ref. N°. 004/E.27/750/SAAJP, acknowledged February 14, 2022, by the Senior Divisional Officer for Donga-Mantung Division, North West Region, Cameroon.

LIA is headquartered at Guarantee New Market Entrance, Nkambe Center Sub-Division, Donga-Mantung Division, North West Region, Cameroon.

2. Use of This Website

This website is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate donations, volunteer applications, and membership registrations. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the site.

You must not:

• Use the website for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content

3. Donations

3.1 General

All donations made to Love in Action are voluntary gifts to support our charitable programs. By making a donation, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that the funds are your own.

3.2 Use of Donations

All donations are used to fund LIA’s seven active programs as described on our website. LIA does not use donations for political purposes, commercial activities, or personal gain by any member or officer.

3.3 Non-Refundable

Donations made to Love in Action are generally non-refundable. In exceptional circumstances, for example, where a donation was made in error, please contact us at info@liacameroon.org within 14 days and we will review your request in good faith.

3.4 Online Payments

Online donations are processed securely through GiveWP using PayPal and Stripe. By completing an online donation, you also agree to the terms and conditions of the relevant payment processor. LIA does not store your card or payment details.

3.5 Bank Transfers

For donations made by bank transfer to LOVE IN ACTION GLOBAL e.v (IBAN: DE72 2919 0330 0115 9399 00, BIC: GENODEE1HB2, Volksbank Bremen-Nord eG), please include your name and “LIA Donation” in the payment reference. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 14 days of your transfer, please contact us.

3.6 Donation Receipts

A donation receipt will be sent to the email address you provide. This receipt is for your records. LIA is a Cameroonian registered association, whether your donation qualifies for a tax deduction in your country of residence depends on your local tax laws, and LIA cannot advise on this matter.

4. Volunteer Applications

Submitting a volunteer application form does not constitute a guarantee of a volunteer placement. LIA will review all applications and contact suitable applicants within 5–7 working days. LIA reserves the right to decline any application at its discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.

Volunteers are expected to act in accordance with LIA’s values, compassion, integrity, accountability, and community, and to respect the dignity of the communities and individuals we serve.

5. Membership

Membership registration fees (50,000 FCFA for Active Members or any amount determined by the Board) are non-refundable once paid. Membership is subject to approval by the Association and governed by LIA’s Articles of Association. Members are expected to fulfil their obligations as outlined in Articles 12 and 13 of the Articles of Association.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Love in Action (LIA) Cameroon unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without prior written permission from LIA.

Images on this website depict real LIA activities and beneficiaries. They may not be reproduced, shared, or repurposed without explicit written consent from LIA.

7. Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites (such as PayPal, Stripe, or partner organisations). LIA is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party websites. We encourage you to read the terms and privacy policies of any external sites you visit.

8. Limitation of Liability

LIA makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of information on this website but cannot guarantee that it is always current, complete, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LIA accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, where Love in Action is legally registered and headquartered. For donors based in Germany or the European Union, we also acknowledge relevant EU consumer protection principles in the spirit of good practice, particularly in relation to online donations processed through our German bank account.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be addressed through good-faith communication with LIA at info@liacameroon.org. Unresolved disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cameroon.

10. Changes to These Terms

LIA reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
